On a serious note, is there any conditions in which you WOULD stradle? I can't see any possible benefit to putting money in on a hand which, 90% of the time you would have mucked. Although the same can be said to a lesser extent for checking blind with a speculative hand, where you hope to entice someone to bet big when you DO actually hit something.

Edit: not that I -LIKE- checking blind for any reason either.
