Default Flopped draw hand 1

Playing 1-2 NL on Party skin.

I have just arrived on table and I am now on button with KxKc. I have 200 as does my unknown opponent.

Opponent makes it 6 in early position. Folded to me and I made it 18 with my big pair. All folded to original raiser who calls.

Flop is A72 all clubs. ( I have King Clubs)

He bets 40 (size of pot) into me.

What is my move and the plan for the rest of the hand?

Ken

Hands like AA, AKs, AK, AQs are likely holdings. Because any suited ace of his obviously loses to any flush I don't think you have the proper implied odds to call. I think folding might be correct, especially since you have no read.

Does anybody think you could raise the flop to see a free river card, planning to fold to a reraise?

He is charging you too much for your draw and you are likely behind. He is going to put you all in on the turn so you have two choices raise all in or fold. Wait for a better spot.

very very read based.

Against most guys I lay it down here.

Only against the most aggressive of players where I think he can do this with QQ, do I call.

The problem in this hand is I really have no clue on the player. It is unlikely he has the flush since he would have to have raised with a suited connector and then called my reraise. He could be betting out on a stone cold bluff figuring it is unlikely I have the flush. More than likely he has Ax, where maybe his kicker is the queen of clubs. In this case I am dead to another club and I really don't have any ability to push him off his ace. I folded.
