I'm not saying anyone is....

Those are the brands I choose to buy....but london is very fashion/label conscious.....

However, I have found though that some of these brands particularly the Italian ones are very very durable and well worth the money....

BUT in answer to OP, I'm defo a member...

I live in London, Uk.......where I live labels are pretty much required...and cost a lot !

I own 2 pairs of jeans that cost £175 ($320)....and a few pairs that cost £125.....I probably have ownership of 6/7 pairs now that cost £100+...

I have spent £200 on shoes.....and i currently have 5 pairs that reatil at £120+....

**Note this is not a bragging thread.......just that if u pair for labels like Armani/Moschino/Evisu/Versace....In london, u have to pay up.....

Levis 501 retail rack rate in Germany: 150$ (100$ is considered a bargain here).

I can spend easily 350$ on a pair of shoes. Hand made in Italy or Hungary.
The fine shoes these are, they last almost a lifetime. Of course, you have to bring them to the shoemaker from time to time. Good shoemakers are hard to find in Germany. I never found a single one in the U.S.

Wear a pair of Tommy Bahamas silk pants (over $100) and you will never go back to cotton.

Yeah, they don't let you back into the straight stores after you cross over to the silk-pants crowd.

At what point in our societal evolution did men actually start to give a damn how comfortable their pants are?

Yes. Agree 100%. Men are supposed to be a little uncomfortable.

Trip report: I purchased the pants as scheduled yesterday evening.

They're actually incredibly nice. I'll be able to wear them to future weddings, and on days when I have to dress nice for work (about 4 times a year).

The people shopping at Banana Republic were hilarious.
