Default A hand I saw from 200NL on party

I don't understand what happened here. Shouldn't this have been a big pot?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

SB ($206.5)
BB ($110.35)
<font color="#C00000">UTG ($285.15)</font>
Hero ($114.05)
<font color="#C00000">Button ($199.55)</font>

Preflop: Hero is MP with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $2, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($8) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $2</font>, SB calls $2, BB folds, UTG calls $2.

Turn: ($14) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $5</font>, SB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $10</font>, Button calls $5.

River: ($34) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: $34

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
UTG has 8c 8s (four of a kind, eights).
Button has Ks Kd (two pair, kings and eights).
Outcome: UTG wins $34. </font>

this was a small pot because both players are very very not good at poker.

Both played this perfectly.

Preflop

UTG limps which is standard with Pocket pairs &lt; QQ.
Button slowplays with KK cos he has position and wants to see if an Ace flops before commiting any more money to the pot (these fish always call a raise with A3 anyway).

Flop

UTG has trips - he has to slowplay here. check call is clearly correct.

Button probe-bids $2 to find out where he's at.

Turn

UTG has a set so obviously he goes for the c/r on the big street. He doesn't want to raise big cos he doesn't want to scare anyone away.

Button needs to bet as a flush draw is now out and he has to call the raise as it is only $5 more.

River

UTG now knows his quads might no longer be good. He wants to get to showdown cheap(Advanced players should consider a blocking bet here).

Button checks behind for metagame.

Standard.
