I don't see how you do get away from that one. It looks fine to me.

Re: How do I get out of this one (or do I?)
Let me guess, after he made an awful call on the flop he picked up a double gut shot to the nuts, and after that a nuclear bomb wouldn't blow this guy out. Nothing to do but call for sanity/big pot/pray he only just made a smaller 2 pair.

Re: How do I get out of this one (or do I?)
I may have raised preflop to try and push one person out.
Flop and turn are good. I may just check and call down the river, save a bet and if I win I win. |

Re: How do I get out of this one (or do I?)
No sxxx! I had almost the same hand last night at UB 2/4 6-max and as you can imagine my lovely 2 pairs lost to the straight. Here I can't see CO having a better hand (44 maybe?) but bloody SB is still there. So I would check-call the river. I couldn't fold the SB raise.

Re: How do I get out of this one (or do I?)
You need to 3-bet the turn before you start calling down in my opinion, especially with sb padding the pot with god knows what. I don't like the river bet. To play this strongly CO probably has AK,AJ,A4,J4 or a set and if he has AK he just hit his 3 outer. You are only ahead of A4 and J4.

Re: How do I get out of this one (or do I?)
I would have made the same crying call. So sad.
I don't play 2/4 (I'm not good enough yet, ) but at .5/1 I would have 3-bet the turn. There are only 8 hands we are behind (six ways to make 44 and one way to make each of AA and JJ - and the latter two are unlikely as there was no PF raise). Why wouldn't one reraise here? |

You need to 3-bet the turn before you start calling down in my opinion [/ QUOTE ] In response to everyone that said this I completely agree. I should have 3-bet here and then check/called the river if it was capped or bet out if called. I tried to make up the lost bet on the river by betting out, but had been outdrawn. Luckily it turned out that this mistake saved me at least 1BB as villian showed QTo. |
