Flop cap too aggressive?
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 8 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, Button caps, Hero calls, UTG calls. Flop: (14 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, UTG calls, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG folds, Button caps, Hero calls. Turn: (11.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. River: (13.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 15.50 BB Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that I'll be behind with the hands that I could possibly be up against. Would folding to a 3-bet on the flop be reasonable on a player without a read? |

Re: Flop cap too aggressive?
Getting capped preflop with KK and then seeing a Q fall on the flop is probably the worst situation ever. I'd treat it as a WA/WB here, check/call, check/call, bet and probably call a river raise (just cuz the pot will probably be big enough).

[/ QUOTE ] I probably call down from the flop raise, you cant raise enough on any street to keep UTG from drawing to 2 pair/straight, and you are behind to 99, TT, QQ, and AA, all possible holdings, the only hands you beat on flop are AQ and JJ. And if he does by some miracle of god have AQ or JJ you want him to keep pumping the pot, let him think he's value betting |
