Re: I try buff raising for the first time
Ok, let me be specific. I think he has a king more than 50% of the time with this action.
Why am I wrong? The read is "passive" and "slightly loose"... |

Re: I try buff raising for the first time
I guess I don't give a lot of credit to the BB who leads at a flop with 2 players on an uncoordinated board with 1 high card. In fact, if I were in the BB I would likely bet to represent the K whether I had it or not. In this hand, I would raise the 99, thinking I likely have the best hand. I have the added chance of folding a K with a weak kicker.

Re: I try buff raising for the first time
I don't understand why we would call a 3-bet and then fold the turn unimproved. Is it not best to fold to the 3-bet. You are almost definately behind if you get 3 bet leaving you with 2 outs.

Re: I try buff raising for the first time
raising in the buff goes under the strip poker forum, not small stakes.

Re: I try buff raising for the first time
If he's any sort of thinking player and he actually had the K wouldn't he try to c/r the pre-flop raiser?
So I like hero's line. If 3 bet on the flop fold turn ui. Fold to a c/r on the turn. The harder scenario for me is what to do if he calls your raise and bets into you on the Turn. |
