If time is not a factor, I'd recommend .5/1 because the paradise players at that limit are mostly equivalent to party .5 players. The former are just a little tighter and more passive than the latter.

I normally only play the .5 game when clearing bonuses and I only play there when clearing bonuses (they only let you open 3 tables at a time so you can play 3 tables of .5/1 and it might take ~1500 total hands to clear).

I am not sure if .25/.5 limit will work, but I think when I last thought about it I determined it would take too much time. The pots must get very large to fulfill the rake per hand requirement at that limit.

FWIW most people I think play 1/2 or higher when clearing a bonus there.

If you play .50/1 Omaha hi/lo just about every hand is raked.

You are right. 1/2 gives the best clearing rate until you get to 5/10.

When I cleared it I was a new player on the internet. I decided to play .25/.50 because I didnt want to loose a lot trying to clear it. Basically 1/3 of the hands are raked so it will take about 3000 hands to clear it. If you move to .50/1 about 2/3 of the hands are raked but you stand to loose a lot more in 1500 hands of .50/1 than you do in .25/.50 if you are not yet a winning player.

Personally I broke even at .25/.50 over the course of clearing the bonus and was at points down almost $50. If I had been down $100 instead by playing at higher limits I think it would have been more difficult psychologically. It is hard to play knowing that you are only breaking even including the bonus.

If you are more confidant than I was than .50/1 will definately clear it in about half as many hands.

If you've only read the Jones book I think you should play 25c-50c on Paradise. You can clear the bonus slowly as has been pointed out. Once you get comfortable you can two-table. The games are slow enough to do that even without much experience. With your limited experience and knowledge there is a good chance you will lose your deposit before you clear at the higher limits.

I get about 40 raked hands an hour two-tabling on Paradise 25-50.

.5/1 7 Card Stud has no ante and a lot of action leading to a ton of raked hands with you just having to pay the bring in every once in awhile.

Default oops

I play two hour sessions mostly. That should be 40 raked hands per two hours = 20 per hour. Sorry.
