Re: reviews on book that chronicled the Andy Beal game ?
Just finished the book (which by the way I bought at Borders). It is a quick, entertaining read, very well-written. Not a strategy book, obviously, but it gives an in-depth look atthe world of high-stakes poker, and an interesting character profile on Andy Beal. Probably the second most entertaining poker related book I have read next to Positively Fifth Street.

Re: reviews on book that chronicled the Andy Beal game ?
I tore through "The professor, the banker.. " in just a few sittings. It's a very cool book. Especially liked the insight into what was happening inside 'The Corporation' (especially when the going got tough) and the politics going on within.
Is it worth buying for entertainment - absolutely |

Read it cover to cover in one session. Engrossing. Andy Beal seems to have a bit of OCD working for him, and I mean that in as good as possible a way...

Great book. Just read it in 2 days. Very entertaining and gets into of the minds of the pros and Andy Beal very well. I'm sending my dad a copy for Father's Day.
Definitely gives you a newfound respect for Howard Lederer, Todd Brunson, Ted Forrest, Barry Greenstein and Jennifer Harman. |

I just got it yesterday and have already read half of the book. It's one of the best in terms of non strategy, poker-related book (along with Aces and Kings which is another great book).
