Default This one confused me a bit

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (11 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, Button raises, SB folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero ???

I'll post the rest as it goes along. No read on the villian, except he raises a bit postflop. 20/20 so far after 10 hands.

If you're not comfortable folding outright (which isn't terrible), you should call and lead the turn. Against most opponents, though, I have no problem folding on the flop here. Even if Button is on a draw, MP2 will very often hold an ace.

I thought folding outright was a bit weak, considering this guy likes to raise. Here's the rest:

calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (8.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Button calls, Hero calls.

River: (11.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Button calls, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 13.50 BB

I like it. What is the purpose of SNGing the turn?

I was planning to call down unless another overcard came.

"...considering this guy likes to raise?"

Huh?..the guy raised two of the ten hands preflop he played, and then raised again with these hands post-flop?

Unless you saw him showdown a weak hand he overplayed, don't you think it's possible that maybe he was dealt two strong hands within those first ten hands?

Umm, no, the read was weak, but every time hes had a decision its been 'raise'.

Even after 10 hands, its a read none the less. I'm not betting the book on it, but more point was more this isnt a 40/0/.1 passive.

Call and lead on a non-diamond turn.

FWIW, I have never heard someone use the phrase "every time" in a situation where N=2. Nonetheless, using your so-called read to justify calling the flop raise and then calling the turn bet with the Button still left to act behind you seems pretty bad.

"Seems pretty bad" isn't very helpful. Why is it bad?
