Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
[ QUOTE ]
As a result of this hand I got a lot of action on my made hands [/ QUOTE ] Why do you think it was because of this hand that you got a lot of action on your made hand? Did you get a string of people telling you they would have folded if it hadn’t been for that Q4s hand? Q4s looks like an easy fold to me. Can’t find a reference for the Gigabet concept, but if this is an application of it I doubt its much use. |

Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
[ QUOTE ]
It's obviously an -EV *donk* move. But if I lose the hand my relation "stack power" doesn't really change much, whereas if I win the hand I am table chip leader head honcho. [/ QUOTE ] ROTFL. "Chip leader head honcho"???? With 260 more chips than second? But I'm sure it's still worth it. I strongly recommend that everyone reading this post make this sort of play regularly. |

Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
[ QUOTE ]
I have to thank him for the donking that's resulting. [/ QUOTE ] Ha, agreed. I hope the Giga principle becomes popularized among random donks in the 55s and below. -EV is right, don't you know? |

Re: Attempting to apply the Gigabet complex
I don't really like it, I think the idea is you aggressively pursue pots that, while you may be behind, you are getitng pot odds to enter and have the chips to gamble to build a big stack.
I suppose though, that nobody is getting involved in this pot after your cold-call. I mean it screams AA. Nice flop though but I fold here. |
