Should I have just called with my aces?
Pot-limit hold-em.
I get AcAh in the big blind. Player 2 calls. Player 3 calls. 3 folds Button raises the pot. Small blind calls. I reraise the pot. Everyone folds. I take a $4.25 profit for the hand. The more I think about this, the more I think I should have smooth called, and hoped to get a good flop. Unfortunately, it was about 12 hands after losing a buy-in with KK against freakin' Q/5. Any thoughts? |

Re: Should I have just called with my aces?
You did the right thing, with this many people showing interest in the pot you can't let them have a cheap shot at outflopping you.
You don't mention the stakes, but taking down a 10-15BB pot with no risk is always better than getting stacked. It's not every time you have aces someone will have any kind of hand that can call. |

Re: Should I have just called with my aces?
you need to reraise so that the fish don't school you. if it were going to be heads up, a call would be good for disguising your hand.
you should be reraising preflop with more than just AA/KK |
