Default Re: How big is your bankroll?

as far as not moving up yet...for me anyway, i want to have at least 100K hands at the level i'm at($200), and be winning 8PTBB?100 hands before moving. still have hands to go.

i do dabble a bit in the $400 game, though.

i'll be moving up soon 1 table at a time.

cheers!

Default Re: better question

When I first started playing NL, I read some Hold'em strategy webpages, and they were all talking about 300xBB as a standard (even conservative) rule. In my blessed ignorance, I did not know they were talking about limit games. So after six weeks of playing, I sat in the 100$NL games with a 300$ BR.

I actually worked it up to 1700 or so in those games, and fell back to 1000 on a -7xbuyin downswing. Since then, I dropped levels and I now only play at limits where I have 20xbuyin, and feel very comfortable with that. Since I'm still rebuilding from that downswing, that's $50NL for me.

I keep my online bankroll at around $5k. I don't play higher than $100NL though.

I don't think so, and I'm getting pretty good at spotting redpill's aliases.

After reading Zorro's thread, I'm not so sure anymore.

My bankroll is not easilly definable I think. If an average table of partypoker NL$100 6max wanted to make a private table and play NL$2000, then sure, I'd have a 20k+ bankroll for them. I don't feel certain that I can beat games higher than NL$200 though, so I don't play them (I play mostly NL$100).

What I currently keep in my PP-account is about $2000. Does that mean that is my bankroll? I'm not planning on losing all of that anyway, so maybe my bankroll is less Or maybe more, since as said: Under favourable conditions, I'd have no problem raising and gambling with 20k+.
