Default Hand against Flack 10/20 NL

FTP $10/$20 NL

Hero ($1200)
Layne Flack ($1800)

Table is four handed.
Hero is dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in BB.

One limper, Flack raises to $40, Hero reraises to $120, limper folds, Flack calls.

Flop J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Action?

More of the hand to come but I want to go street by street.

Any special reason you're sitting with Layne Flack at a 4 handed table? Starstruck? I imagine he's a pretty good player...not the kind of guy I'd want to encounter.

Raise more preflop, possibly push. Seriously.

WTF does pushing accomplish here?
Getting called by AA KK mayybee QQ and everything else folds?
I would check raise this flop. I normally dont check raise much, but this seems liek a good place to CR, he probably wont call with a low pp, if he calls i would be done with the hand, unless i turn Ace/king.

You are out of position against very good postflop player but on the other hand your stack is not very deep (60 big blinds). $120 reraise is not bad but in my opinion you are making things a bit too hard for yourself with an underbet like that. I'd probably wanna make Flack pay for his position advantage with a reraise to $150.

On the flop consider check-raise all-in. Sometimes lead flop 50-70% pot with intention of folding to a raise. If flack smoothcalls the flop bet I'd push the rest in when a spade/king/ace falls otherwise check-fold. Sometimes push turn even when a ten/queen falls often giving you 4 extra outs.

he usually spews chips, especially when he only has one buyin.

raise a LOT more preflop. He likes to see flops and doesn't care the price it costs to see them. I'd make it at least 5x more than his raise, as he could have any two here. Since he has position on you, you really have to make him pay. As it stands, people's advice of 200 is about right. If he calls you, that doesn't mean he has any piece or draw either.
