how do they refund a multi?

refund your buy in, or divide the # chips, i,.e if you have 1% of the chips you get 1% of the pool?

I just got an auto email from them. They gave me a refund plus extra. The email says they take the number of players left and divide the money equally. I have to say they handled this pretty well...

giving someone with 100 chips the same as a player with 14,000 hardly seems fair to me.

You can guess which of those two players I was.
Sigh.

For multis ... 50% of the prize pool is evenly distributed to all remaning players, the other 50% is distributed based on chip count.

For SnG ... the prize pool is evenly distributed to all remaining players.

Isn't it wierd how everyone who gets locked up in the middle of a hand always has the nuts in a huge pot.

Human nature... people who get shortchanged complain. People who think they've benefited don't complain.

I don't think any 2+2 poster is going to come on here and say, "I was chasing an open-ended straight with a paired board, and Party froze on me, dammit!"

Mine was a gutshot.

Well I was in an SNG, where everyone is so close to the money that equal division seems fair. For MTTs, I think it's different, like the other poster says...

You'll know for sure when they send you the email with your refund + credit.

Empire refunded me, they took the (prizepool/# players left) + rake.

Kudos to them, only took 2 hours.
