Default Three-betting a min raiser

I dont really play much NL at all, but had a debate with a buddy as to if it could ever be correct to min raise after someone just doubles the BB. Assume that both players have plenty of money and are not close to all-in. Can someone describe a situation where this would be correct?

Default Re: Three-betting a min raiser

i can't think of a single situation where a no limit game should be played like a limit game would be.

i take that back. once while playing in a live $2/5 n/l game at Borgata, there was an UTG min-raisor. there were 4 callers to me in the BB. just to get a laugh, and lighten the mood at the table, i made a minimum 3-bet. i had 98s, and won a pretty big pot when i flopped an open ender, and backed into a runner/runner flush.

cheers!
