Default Something that has been made aware to me (6-max related)

It's perfectly normal to fold to a raise.

Discuss.

My point was that I rarely even consider a fold.

Anybody want to post some hands where they HAVE folded a reasonable holding for a raise, and the reasoning behind it? I've been paying off way too much in my last few thousand hands, and I'm worried it's becoming a habit.

Assume SB and BB are competent.

Hero is on the button with A5s.

3 fold, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, BB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: A T 9 (no flush draw)

SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls.

Turn: 6 (completing rainbow)

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB raises

I just made this up, so it might be too clear of a fold.

edit: calling the raise if it came from the SB is more debatable. There was actually a nice article one of the 2+2 magazines about folding for one more on the river because there is almost no chance the raiser was bluffing. Those are the type of hands I'm most interested in.
