Caesar\'s Atlantic City Poker Room Opening in July 2005
The only thing I know about the room is it will supposedly have 24 tables.

Re: Caesar\'s Atlantic City Poker Room Opening in July 2005
Caesars once had a room that they changed into a slot area, they now have decided to change it back.
As I told you on Saturday, I think the room will feature small stakes games and no limit games. $2-$4, $3-$6 perhaps $4-$8 $5-$10 or $6-$12. It appears everyone wants to play no limit. Ceasars would be best served to satisfy that need. |

Per the Caesar's Web site, they converted the former Gladiator Sports Bar into the new room.
Maybe I should learn how to play NL. I believe Caesar's comps can be used in the The Walk outlet shops, and if they comp poker, the comps would be more valuable IMO then some other casino's comps. |

Re: Caesar\'s Atlantic City Poker Room Opening in July 2005
Bally's doesn't rate comps for poker, so don't assume Caesars will. even after the Harrah's takeover and eventual conversion to Total Rewards, comps will be non-existant or extremely thin for anything except slots and VP (and it's already pretty thin for VP).
even if there are Connection Card dollars available, they are only worth 1/2 value for retail purchases since they convert at the kiosk at a 2:1 ratio. only hotel and restaurant charges are worth face value. if comp value is a deciding factor as to where you play B&M poker then you probably need to work on your game a little. a free meal and/or discounted room is already more than generous with the limited profit margins of ring tables. |

Re: Caesar\'s Atlantic City Poker Room Opening in July 2005
Comps are not a factor in where I play. I was joking in my post about NL, although I know it didn't come across as so. Anyone who knows me knows I hate to play NL. And I know I would only get half of the value (if I am lucky) for shopping.
