2/4: Bet the 4-Flush River?

I hadn't been at this table long, but apparently villian had been making some weird/questionable plays, so I figured him for playing random crap against me this hand. Should I have bet the river, or was the check/call safe?

Checking the river was definately safer and is the way I would have played it. I would call if Villain bet the river. He could be bluffing.
