Winning hand, but right move?
I know I won the hand, but was I smart to move all in?

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
Your right around 6x the BB, and the smallest stack at he table. You still have 3 players and the blinds behind you left to act. What kind of hands do you expect to call?
AA-88 Ak-A10 KQ,KJ What are the chances that out of those 5 people left to call your raise, one will call and hit a board that is favorable? If it were me I would wait for a better spot to push. |

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
88 so much > KJ it's insane. If people call with KJ, they should call with A7 and 55.
88 is around AJ and AQ. It's an awesome hand I'm pushing here every time. I also push AT, 77.... A9? 66 is right around the cutoff point for me here. And I'm a bit too passive, so I think it's a good push. Not horrible, at the very least. |

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
With 6xBB I would push this every time (and not be unhappy if two overcards call). If someone calls with a bigger pair so be it. In two hands you will likely be down to 450 chips and 100/200 blinds fast approaching.

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
It's solid for sure. Don't let the results lead you to believe otherwise (well, even though you did luckbox him pretty good).

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
Go through the blinds, have T455, keep waiting for a hand better than 66, don't get one, push, get called because have only T455, be a likely dog.
No wait, that's terrible! Push. |

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
What's your range here?
44+, A7+, KJ+? A bit wider than that? 22+, A2+, K9+, QJ + decent suited hands? |

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
I'm gonna cop-out and say they both sound reasonable. The tighter range is about the range that I KNOW I will push regardless of my table image or reads.
I feel better about my game when I'm pushing a broader range here though (45 suited - Ax,Kx etc). It's not that that is great, but with the stacks where they are at taking these blinds really sucks and your FE is not too terrible. I think you have to act a little desperate before your desperation is obvious. When it is obvious (3xBB or so) you should pass up a marginal stealing opportunity and take your chances in the blinds, after all people fold around to the short stack as much as anyone else because they know they will get called. |

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
You push 54s here? Really? And yeah, you're right. I really need to open up in these spots.

Re: Winning hand, but right move?
Only when my mojo is working. I fold here and kick myself pretty often.
