Default SB w/ AQo

I had just sat down at the table, so I don't have reads on any of the players...

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 4 folds, Button calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, Button raises, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (8.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Button bets, Hero raises, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Button calls.

River: (14.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, Button calls.

Final Pot: 17.50 BB

Looking back, I don't like my river bet at all. My main question is whether the turn raise was a good move.

I fold the turn. You have 1 overcard, and no odds to call for it. I don't get this check raise at all - it will never fold a K, and you might get 3 bet which would be a real pain. Sorry to say s, but this seems like spewing to me.

Check (and likely fold) the flop, and no the turn raise wasn't good. You have ace high and were raised on a ~drawless flop.

Why did you raise the turn? You have 1 over and a gtsht w/1 to come. You're spewing here, IMO. Personally, I'm folding the turn.

My thought on the turn was that I'm getting 9.5:1, with 6-7 outs (4 jacks, 2-3 for aces), so I'm definitely calling. I raised because I thought it might buy an out or two (perhaps Ax that hit the board). Anyway, given your advice, I see why that was a bad move (in general a drawless board). Thanks for the help.

I don't see why you are betting out the flop. You have 1 overcard and a backdoor flush draw - so basically 3 outs tops. You're only getting 9:1 from the pot. And your not getting all 4 players to fold. The flop missed you. Check/Fold.

I really don't think your A outs are as clean as you're assuming. Also, you really don't want to see the J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the river.
