Default TPTK, min bet, raise, min raise, call, min bet....

Villain just sat down, thus no reads. I wanted to peel one off when he minraised me on the flop because there's no way I was folding to that bet. Then he minbet again on the turn and I just called to keep the pot small. When he minbet a third time on the river I figured my hand was good. All these dumb minbets had me confused though. Look good?

I think I'd rather raise the turn. If you're ahead you get more money in the pot. If he raises again I think you could be fairly certain you've been outflopped and decide what to do based on the odds he lays. If he just calls I probably check behind on the river or call a small bet. JMO

Hmmm... yeah I can definitely see it being good to play it this way. My goal was to not give him a big pot to bet into on the river. I'm thinking that if I'm ahead there's no difference unless he's drawing to the flush (which I don't see him min-3-betting the flop with a flush draw). If I bet and he calls and then fires into me on the river I'm going to be pretty pot comitted looking at stacks. If I just call then I'm willing to fold to a huge overbet on the river and call a (now much smaller) pot sized bet.

Your play is fine. I senses a lot of weakness. My initial thought was he is on a draw.

He could also have pair of queen weak kicker.

Raise the turn.

You think he min 3bets on a draw? I have never seen this in my life. Thus I'm either way ahead on the turn and he's drawing to 2 or 5 outs or I'm way behind and drawing to 5 or 3 outs (or drawing dead). I still haven't seen a good argument for raising the turn. I think it just makes the river tougher to play if he bets pot.
