Default Re: Two maniacs and top two pair

Results, since I'm going into a meeting and by the time I'm out this'll be well off the front page:

Maniac 1 had A6o for a pair of aces
Maniac 2 had JTo for a straight, ace high.

Maniac 2 takes it down.

I'm pretty sure I played the had about as optimally as possible, though; and that seems to be backed up by the responses here. Thanks.

This was the last hand I played (fourth-last at the table for me, didn't play any more between this and the end) at this table, and it turned what was a good-sized profit (mostly taken from Maniac 1) into a smallish profit. The funniest thing about that table was that, for the first half-hour I was playing on it, there was a third maniac, seated between the two in this hand. I typically do poorly against people who I perceive as playing poorly ("I don't want to call down with my TPTK, I want to raise since he must have nothing! Oh, wait, he's got two crappy pair.. damn."), and having three maniacs at the table forced me to switch into a much more passive mode when I had any decent-but-not-overwhelming hand. It didn't matter, though, because the bets I would've put in were sent my way anyway. It was a good learning experience, results or not.
