Default hypothetical 5/10 overcard, nice turn, what do u do now, hand...quizz

5/10 game. Players are decent, and average to good postflop.

You raise from middle position with the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] after an early player limps. Two middle players cold call, the early limper calls the raise. 4 players to the flop, $47 in the pot.

Flop (4.7sbs): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)

Early limper checks, you BET, MP calls. (the EP and other MP fold)

Turn(5.7 BBs):A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players.)

Giving u top pair, top kicker. You BET, MP RAISES (8.7 BBs).

What do u do?

1.MP is a solid player.
2.No reads, but u know the game is tight/aggresive.
2.What is your action if player is a little loose.

If he is a solid player I can't see him cold-calling preflop with any hand other than 99 or 77 and taking this action postflop. However, I probably call down just in case this is a bluff.

If he is a loose player I may 3-bet the turn in case he picked up a flush draw. He would have to be tricky/laggy though, because there is a good chance I am now reverse dominated by a loose player.

If he is a really solid player I dont expect him to be cold calling in MP after another TAG (whats your image?) has raised with 77 and even 99 is pushing it.

Personally I three bet here.

Call down, MP1's waited till the turn to raise he could well have you beat but he could also be betting the Ace and if so you'll get paid off.

Im putting good player on AQs, AQo, 77, 99 possibly AJs unless this person is known to be really really solid so he wouldnt necessarily coldcall with the aces. With this range of hands its best to call down because it is now like a WA/WB situation where you have about no outs to win if he has the set and all he can do is pair his kicker if you are ahead. If the player is loose I play it the same because they could also have you reverse dominated.

Raise for value.
There's a good chance he hit is ace with poorer kicker.

But if hes solid player wouldnt he be worried about AK, AQ? Dont u think a solid player would only raise u here if he could beat AK or AQ?

Unless its a semi-bluff. But if u are playing your TAGish game, and u have a solid table image, I dont see a solid player semi-bluffing u here with a worse hand. If h's tricky obviously he can semi-bluff with a draw.

I call down. Smells like he slow-played a flopped set. Can't see a solid player cold-calling pf with Ax. There's a chance he has something like AJ-AQ.

Yeah I think something like KQs with spades might be possible for a semi-bluff. It's not that bad, really. If you have a lower pp than AA (which will be a fair amount of the time), you may fold it often enough for this to be profitable for villain, especially given his outs if you miss.

I don't see a super solid player make this play with any hand, unless he has clear reads on you as able to make bad "good laydowns".

I call down.
