Default What 1/2 tables are you playing?

I'm play full ring tables and leave if there are two seats open when my blinds come around. Reason being, I want 9 others playing to build pots and pay off any draws.

Never have played 6 max or 9 max. I see the shorthanded play experience in the 6, but have no good reason to play 9.

Why do you play there?

What's up w/ all these 9 max at Party? Blinds 10% more often does not make for a happy bonus whore.

My experience shows that 9max tables contain less TAGs than full ring 10max, so I'd rather pay the blinds an extra time and make up for it by playing looser, softer tables.

EDIT: I am also wanting to learn 6max, although the last few times I tried I got crushed. (I don't think I've had a winning 6max session) -- tried about 2000 hands or so, no g00t. I might try again after I clear the party bonus (so they don't pin me as a bonus whore =P) and try out 1/2 6max for about 30 minutes (btw, do they have .5/1 6max?)

Wonder why there wouldn't be just as many TAG's proportionately in the 9 handed vs. 10 handed tables? Is your BB/100 better in the 9 vs. 10?

I played 1/2 9/10 max clearing the old pokernow bonus, which was on my brother's computer and I haven't loaded the HH into poker tracker, so I can't make the comparison. However, I'm pretty sure my instincts were correct on that one -- I guess because the sharks always put themselves for "first table with 9 or more players", which excludes all 9max tables from their waitlist. We all know that we hate sitting at tables that aren't full (or nearly full), and hate when tables break up, so we join the fullest tables.

I play both 9 max and full ring, I just play which ever table is the loosest that is available. In nine max you will see more hands per hour. I don't see much difference in the quality of the players though when compared to full ring, it's only a 1 player difference.

9-max. Hopefully that couple extra hands/hour are going to get my 10k hands at 1/2 over as quickly as possible. Then onto 2/4. I don't care much for this level.
