Re: Close one
The CR is a little weird here.
A flop CR is usually done to protect a weak made hand by forcing the middle to call two bets or to trap the field when an EP better is expected to lead out and actor has a monster made hand. Neither situation seems to really apply here. But, neither case is good for a weak draw like AKs. The turn fold looks fine to me. |

Re: Close one
This is a good fold.
Our pot odds are not nearly as good as they look. We have very few clean outs (if any), we are not closing the action and we don't have any implied odds at all. |

...it looks you're possibly up against someone with pkt J's for the boat. [/ QUOTE ] You must've not slept at all when you were a kid if you have monsters this big living under your bed. |

[/ QUOTE ] Or, perhaps the flop C/R'er has done some studying and is raising to pad the pot for the strong draw he picked up on the flop. You can't assume that BB called with just any 2, so I'd be more likely to put him on pocket hearts, and maybe he picked up a straight draw as well. Against an unknown, I think I peel one, here, but I've been known to overplay AK on occassion. Edit: I just noticed there's a player to act behind you. This makes me start leaning toward fold, even though I doubt he's raising behind you. |
