I'd 3-bet this river in hand #1 all day long. Its shorthanded and if he flopped a straight good for him.

You played hand 2 way too weak. Don't fear the worse all the time. Its not PLO8.

how should I have changed my play on hand #2... (FYI, table was very passive and loose, with 3 or 4 showing down on average)

I agree, I should have 3 bet hand #1.....villan threw me a curve because he was like 65%/2%/50% with AF of 0.80...so his raise stopped me.

nr 2 must the most easy valuebet in the world.

Depending on the opp i'm either calling or 3 betting. Against this 6x/high/~1 i'm 3 betting. He's betting a lot of marginal hands.That could be the case here too.

Hand 1- 3-bet river and call a cap.
Hand 2- Bet the river, call a raise.

Oh and maybe a checkraise on the flop for some extra bets in hand 2? With so many in you'd expect a bet.
