Default Observed 1-3NL live hand.

UTG: $~600
Button: $~1000

UTG opens for $15 and gets two callers. Button makes it $60.

UTG puts another $75 on top. Button calls after slight hestitation.

Flop: ($300) K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
check, check.

Turn: ($300)K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG leads for $50. Button makes it $150. UTG moves in and button calls.

UTG has JJ and button has AK and snaps off a river ace.

This hand was disgusting.

Anybody just call the turn if you were the button?

They should both have pocket pairs or at very least a K, so that can't be too much of a problem?

Oh no, JJ gave a free card!

AK has to like his chances here. The only reasonable hand he is behind is JJ. He doesn't have to worry about AA anymore being ahead. After the reraise preflop, I start to worry about being up against KK or AA, not JJ.

I don't think the turn raise is terrible. I tend to be suspicious of small bets from decent players. I've seen way too many people try to play AA the same way and get stacked.

The worst spot here, in my opinion, is the call with AK preflop.
