Re: WSOP Event 2 Summary - How to get 138th with very few big hands
[ QUOTE ]
I dunno. The $2000 is better, but the $1500 starts with 60BB, and is at 30BB within an hour (~25 hands). That's faster moving than most online MTT's. [/ QUOTE ] The middle stages are a lot better. |

Re: WSOP Event 2 Summary - How to get 138th with very few big hands
The first 2 levels are slow, but a lot of the action depends on the dealer. For most of level 1 we had a guy straight out of dealer school, and he made a mistake on about 50% of the hands. Most of my friends got between 30-35 hands in on level 1, but we only got 25.
I'm not too fond of the 50/100 - 100/200 jump between levels 3 and 4. At this stage 3/4 of the players seemed to have <10BBs, making this level a pushfest. The good news is, if you can survive level 4 with a decent stack, the blind structure takes a break on level 5 and rises a bit slower. Overall it was about as fast as some of the $500ish big event prelims I've played. But it's not a good player can't use this structure to his advantage. |

I know. At those stakes, villain could have anything. Just have to move up, I guess...
