Re: Protecting Overcards?

You're still drawing on this flop and you don't want to raise everyone else out of the pot. [/ QUOTE ] Actually, you do. |

Re: Protecting Overcards?
I am calling this turn.
I like your flop play as well, but not for protecting your hand (you have nothing to protect), but for a free card. Plus, the pot is big and it's nice to knock out some of the players. |

Free card, clean up outs, maximise chance of winning a big pot, fundamental theorem of poker.

Why? [/ QUOTE ] Because if you hit one of your outs you'll have a lot more chances to win HU vs 5 people. |

I never raise with overcards unless I have at least a gutshot along with me or I have a really good read on an opponent. Is it because you are first to act after the bettor and can put a lot of pressure on the rest of the field? If there was a bet and then several calls to you, I assume you would call, correct? |

Re: Protecting Overcards?
I would count the full 6 outs, I see nothing that would imply that if you hit you are not good.

Re: Protecting Overcards?
I see six outs. I would have folded too, but now I see why to call turn is better.
