Default nothing like waking up to review a QQ hand

Home game:
.25/.50 blinds, 20 dollar buy in, 6 handed.

Main pot size: 11.25 Side pot: 4

Flop: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG checks, Hero bets 2, UTG raises 3, to 5, Hero calls
Main pot: 11.25 Side pot: 14

Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG checks hero bets 3, UTG calls 3
Main pot: 11.25 Side pot: 20

River: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG checks, hero bets 2.25, UTG calls 2.25
main pot: 11.25 Side pot: 24.50

OK, first things first, I am not the hero nor UTG in this hand. However, we had a talk afterwards about this hand and we all wanted to see what the experts on 2+2 had to say about this. I know to a certain extent what was wrong, but because they do not like to listen to me and they want other opinions, im posting this. Will post results tomorrow.

Allin guy could have a pretty wide range of hands, as shortstacks going allin in a home game are likely to. I push preflop rather than merely raising 2 hoping to get headsup w/ an overlay against allin guy.

If someone was calling along w/ AA or KK so be it.

Probably an easy push after the all-in preflop. I suppose it might depend on the players somewhat, but it seems you hint the players are 2+2 aware, which would make me push all the more.

The players only know what 2+2 is because I have shown them some things I have posted. They do not necessarly read this. The home game we play is not a typical poker game, as most players are unaware of the size of the pot, and only care about how much the current bet is. So even in this large pot, a 3$ bet to them is still a lot, equivlent to a 1/2 pot in a regular game.
