Default Re: Bad Beat, Bad Karma

Tournament hold 'em is just a hobby for me but I try not to play silly. After losing many chips on BB check, I just fold it now, unless it consists of connectors or suited or two big cards (obviously pairs also) because (and even then) kicker problems with connectors or suited can kick you out of a tournament and I have a big problem with falling in love with a hand.
Survival First! is my motto in the early rounds and I consistently finish later than do the early rounds 'gamblers,' 62% of the time making it to the final table, 45% of that time final five and 18% of that time in first place (could possibly be more but I often agree to split the pot with the other two finalists) with an average of about $40.00 per hour winnings (and that would be better than that except some of these tournaments seem to drag on forever)- not bad for a silly girl but I always wonder what I could do if I knew how to play.
