Strangle yourself after Party? (low content)
I just was going through a bonus at party....kept to the lower tables which is probably my problem. I think it's next to impossible to push someone off a hand. Had guys calling down TP awful kicker with all kinds of draws on the board. Calling big pf raises with suited unconnectors (is that a word?), had two guys call a 2nd reraise by me to 34x the BB which was what was in the pot, one guy had AQs and the other guy KQs....man, it's just crazy.
Guess that's why the variance is so high...I lost 2/3 of my bonus tonight..not really what I had in mind. Guess I'll be back at the grindstone tomorrow...maybe I'll up it a limit and try not to steal any pots or make any moves. No sense in making a move if the other guys don't have the brains to lay anything down. Costly lesson I relearned tonight...that's what I get for not playing Party in a while, I got out of the mindset.

Needed to vent...didn't post any bad beat stories, just commented how different the mindset is on lower stakes Party games than at other sites. Okay, maybe I whined a bit.

This will help: 1. Buy "Getting Started in Hold'em" by Ed Miller. 2. Follow the short stack strategy to the letter at the $25 tables. 3. Chug through your bonus hands and win -2 / +3 PTBB/100 without much thought or stress. 4. Collect Bonus Repeat... Good Luck! -salloch

How the [censored] are you getting this when I only get action off aces and sets, and other [censored] up nut peddling SOBs.

Some tips for the 25 tables:
1. They CALL too much - so punish them by betting your big hands REALLY HARD. 2. Never ever bluff 3. AK is just a drawing hand - repeat 100 times "I will not make big bets after the flop with unimproved AK" 4. Dont minraise and try silly moves to "trap" those players for small amounts of money - BET POT, OVERBET POT and MOVE-In will be your mantra. Thank you, come again.
