"One deals drugs with Fed agents and the other made just over 60K playing poker last year."

The 60K reference ... huh?

So basically what Matusow and Hellmuth are saying is: "It was so much nicer in the old days when the dead money would lay down and let me take pot after pot from them. Now they play back at me and I can't play as comfortably. It's not fair - don't they know I'm a pro, dammit?"

Grow up boys... that's why they call it gambling.

On the other hand, if I'm at a table with Barry Greenstein and Daniel Negreanu at the main event, what's *my* best strategy? Focus and try to outplay them postflop, or gamble on putting them on tough preflop decisions?

Let's just say I play that table much differently than I play a $20 MTT on 'Stars.

Yeah it's rediculous. But I hear there's a new form of poker where you can't just push all-in whenever you want. The betting is structured, effectively forcing post flop play. Sounds interesting, maybe it will catch on?

Probably not.

Uh yeah it's already kind of caught on. It's called Pot Limit

yah...POT LIMIT IS WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.

I found it funny when Mike ws interviewed and he was complaioning of the horrible play of the amateurs he discribed one of the hands. He said that he made a big raise from early position with Q8 and an amateur came over the top of him all-in for about 3 times his bet. He called with his Q8 and was shocked that the other guy had a small pair (which held up).

If an amateur raised from early position and he went all in with a pair, if the amatuer called he would be screaming at what a horrible play that is. Without debating it, it seems like both plays are silly. Just my two cents.

When can we expect "A Reply to Oaktoon's Response" by Matuszow and Hellmuth? Do you think that they will put out a joint statement, or just handle it separately?
