hey if you're german please do explain the whole "ziggy high ziggy high hoi hoi hoi" thing. while i hold up my stein and yell it out with the crowd, it seems kinda foreign to this red blooded american who was born from the union of when white met bread...

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL - I have no idea. We're both American, but all of our grandparents came off the boat - so we're not really Germans - just have heavy ancestory. I'm only 28, and although I love nockwurst and beer, I have to admit that I'm far far behind on the tradition.

I'll toss that question out to my old man though - he might know

Delmonico's in the Venetian is the best steak I have had in Vegas - pricey, but the Ribeye is fantastic.

my personal favs are shintaro at bellagio and bouchon at venetian

My wife & I really enjoyed Shintaro a couple of weeks ago. Food was great and the service was impecable but definately not cheap eats. Make reservations if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night.

Default Try the filet and crabmeat special at the Palm Steak House!

I also loved the food at PF Changs. Smith and Wollensky's is tough to beat for classic steakhouse fare.

If you're doing a food tour I'd like to suggest the Golden Steer steakhouse... Its %100 old school vegas, Elvis and John Wayne would eat there back in the day. Its pricey but the steaks were excellent and the bannanas foster is prepared at your table with the full show.

My favorite cheap buffet is the Orleans...crawfish and gumbo for lunch!

I also enjoyed the Aladdin buffet, which is a step up in price and quality. I was a bit disappointed there was no Indian food given the casino theme. I particularly recommend the Middle Eastern lamb kabobs, and the American braised forest mushrooms.

Gaylord (snicker), the Indian Restaurant in the Rio, was awesome and one of the most filling meals I've ever had. You could probably put on five pounds just eating there.
