Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #3- PL Holdem Thread
On Card Player, they announced that over 800 signed up for today's event. With tomorrow's event being limit holdem, maybe about 1000?

Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #3- PL Holdem Thread
The third event of the 2005 WSOP attracted 1,071 players. First prize is $369,535 and the field will pay down to 100. With the blinds at $150-$300, there are approximately 280 players left in the event.

Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #3- PL Holdem Thread
I heard the count was around 1100 today. I was out at around 350-400. I outlasted Ted Forrest at my table and Scotty Nguyen at the adjoining table. Does that mean I'm better than them? Note for others: Don't push JJ from early position when the late position shortstack has kings and the big stack has AQs and an A will flop. Don't do it. Horribly misplayed by bustout hand and I hit the 4-8 table to blow off steam. What a change is caliber player. Met Roswell before the tourney started and I hope he lasted longer.
As for the NLHE Event 2, they were down to ~30 when I left and Hellmuth was still in. Couldn't really see any others. |

Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #3- PL Holdem Thread
I finished 117 of 1100 (or whatever). I'm writing tourney reports for every event I am in for my "investors" (about 7% of me is sold to family and friends) So I'll probably post this one as it is likely the best that I will do. I was so lucky to finish as high as I did.... but more on that later.
