PF Raise size in $100NL 6 max
Last night was my first time trying $100NL 6 max. I was raising 3bb's (total of $4) as my default raise first in and 4bb's if second in. I was getting almost NO action on any of my raises. Of course I adjusted for this and started raising like a madman, stealing blinds like crazy with this raise size. Was I just playing at super tight tables or something? It was nice taking down the blinds with hands like 85o but I also wasn't getting any action with my big pairs, which I raised the same amount. Would it be more profitable if my default raise was a little less so theres a higher chance of getting called with my strong hands?

Re: PF Raise size in $100NL 6 max
Stealing blinds at NL isn't really very profitable, and it's better for generating action than it is for making money, IMO- you could show some of the garbage steals to try to get them to loosen up, maybe. Work on your table selection a bit? I mean, join tables with big avg pots and lots of people seeing the flop.
$4 is my standard raise, too, i can't see that possibly being the problem. |

if they're folding to your raises, then raise more often.

Taking down the blinds every hand is just as profitable as one nice AA hand, and it's much more risk free. Don't worry about it.
