Neteller closed my account
So, this morning I'm logging on to my neteller account and is greeted by this:
[ QUOTE ] An error has been encountered The account you are trying to log into has been closed due to certain circumstances. Please call the following number: 011.403.233.9466 (press option 0 and then option 1) You may email admin@neteller.com to contact the NETELLER Security Department. We apologize for any inconvenience. [/ QUOTE ] Slightly disturbing since there is about 1000 USD there, and I haven't violated any TC that I know of. I just a-mailed them and asked what was going on. Happened to any of you? I keep you informed of my progress (or lack thereof). -aron |

Exactly the same thing happened to me last week. All it was that their software thought I was logging in from a different location and closed my account as a security measure. A quick phone call and it was all sorted.
Shouldn't be anything to worry about. |

Happened to me when I moved. Phone call and a fax fixed everything.

I have even heard that Neteller locks accounts if more than one account is used on the same computer.

I can attest to this as a fact.
My father, not a gnome, was getting started and I transferred him some money via Netellers peer-to-peer transfer. He then logged in at my computer to complete the transfer. The money was transferred but then both accounts were closed shortly after. I had to call and get it cleared up. I was also very sternly warned against using more than one account on the same computer. |

We have reviewed your account and this is not applicable in your case. Your NETeller account is now open. If you continue to experience difficulties, please call or email a representative from the NETeller Security Department. [/ QUOTE ] So, I still don't have a clue why they closed it, but it's not a problem anymore. -aron |
