No read on our villain here, I can't see any choice but to bet this river, even though I put him on maybe something like QJs at the time. Did I play the other streets right ? I considered check raising that flop, but decided not to.

Well, it worked.

Anyway, I think firing one last time on the river is worth a try here, as there's a decent chance Villain has something like AQ/AK or a busted ace-high flush draw you can push him off of. (And he could also have the same hand on the river that you have.)

I assumed that AJ or KJs would have raised. I find that half the time I'll get called by 99 or something like that. I suppose if half the time it works, it's profitable

Actually, if you wanna get all technical and [censored], it doesn't have to work anywhere NEAR half the time for this bet to be profitable.

ya I realised when I hit submit that for that one extra bet it's just a function of how much is in the pot. probably less then 10% of the time at that point.
