I had been folding my blinds a lot in a five-handed game, not that it matters especially with the hands that I had been getting.
UTG limps, next player limps, as does the next, the small blind raises, I have 86o in the big blind. Obviously the small blind has a good hand, better than mine. I'm thinking AA, KK, or AKS. I'm fairly certain the three limpers will call the raise so I call. And so do they. Who folds here? I'm curious. Big blind play has never been a strength of mine. Anyway, the story has a happy ending, I flopped a monster and sb's pocket aces refused to believe me. Capped on all streets. The small blind was annoyed. |

Re: Online
Call: 1) You are expecting 9 to 1.
2) No one will put you on 86. 3) This is one of those situations where making a variance play is cheap. Fold: 1) Your cards are too close to W's IQ. 2) You have the worst position relative to the PFR. 3) Variance plays from the blinds (and button) don't change opponents impression of you as much as when you make em from elsewhere. Personally, I guess I might call if I thought one or two of the limpers would be donating if I hit the flop. |
