Default Multi-Table from Dail-Up?

OK, I havn't used a dail-up connection in years, but my Cable Modem connection is constantly getting "Internet Delays" on the Party sites of 12-20+ seconds. This is not only extremely frustrating, but has lost me $$$ on more than one occasion.

Unfortuntely, there is nothing my ISP can/is willing to do about this. My place cannot get DSL, so I'm left with only one option, Dail-Up, arghhhh.

So does anyone out there use dail-up for 4+ table play? Is it feasible? Any other suggestions on what to do about the "Internet Delays"?

Thanks for any input,
---Lawnboy

I routinely play 3-4 tables a time on dial up, and dont have that much of a problem if any. I dont think I would try to play more though. However I will be getting DSL in the near future once my House is done being built. I just dont want to go through the hassle of changing right now.

56k: 4 tables successfully working. No probs whatsover, but haven't tried more.

64k/isdn: 8 tables playable at least. Again, no probs whatsoever.

Could depend on your provide however, I'm not sure if one sample fits all.

Lawnboy,
I hope that you meant "Dial up" and not "Dail up". Because you used it several times I was beginning to think that there was a new technology out there that I didn't know about

DSL is not the only high speed option you know. Surely you can get a high speed cable hook up where you are? If not, direct tv satellite offers high speed hook ups.

I stuck with dial up for a long time, I couldn't stand to go back to it now. I'd rather grind my own face off with a belt sander...

Sorry, much better at 7Stud then spelling.

I currently have a cable connection, this is what's having the problem. My apartment doesn't have the right view for satellite.

Anyone else experience the dreaded "Internet Delays" on Party and skins?

Very little data is actually sent over the connection. I had no trouble multi-tabling with dial-up after my move and before my DSL was up and running.
