Default Pre-flop question.

$2-$4 brick and morter. Not as loose passive as on the weekend but still L-P. I'm one off the button with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]-4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Four limpers to me. I call. Button folds. SB raises. UTG+1 reraises. All seven players are still here. Do I call two?

It's my first round on the table. I've seen UTG+1 play a hand very aggressively.

Yes I would, you have a decent multiway hand.

I don't think it's all that great. You have no high card strength, and if it doesn't hit you right in the head, yo're a dead duck. I'd call one, but for two, I'd muckify it.

Just my $.02 worth...

It seems like the two extra bets kills my implied odds. I realize suited connectors are suppose to only hit one time in ten but I never seem to get anywhere with them.

If I stayed, I would have taken down the pot with a straight. Which doesn't prove anything but I think I made a mistake.

your still getting 7-1 on your money (if I understood the post right)...I think this is good enough with a speculative hand with good position.

6:1. I'm one of seven people. I have a 10% chance of flopping a flush draw which will hit 1/3 of the time. And I have have to worry about a fourth spade on the table or somebody with bigger spades. About the same situation for the straight. The usual 2% chance of flopping two pair which may or may not be good. The usual 1% chance of flopping trips.

I think the idea is to see the flop for 1SB. If you hit, you can take down 20SB. If you are spending 3SB to try for 40SB, it isn't so good. But maybe it is good enough.
