Limited entries for WSOP ??

Did they cap the amount of entries there can be in main event, and any of small events? Thought i read that, is it true?

Main event capped at 6,600.

Hopefully, we won't have a post about this every day.

2200 for all other events

What happens if there are already 6600 by, say the 4th? They have Super-Satellites and Mega-Super-Satellites scheduled for the 5th and 6th. Will they just cancel them? Last year, some of the Supers awarded 30+ seats.

Last year in the days leading up to the ME; I heard that it would be capped @ 2000, then 2200, then 2400, and it ended up @ almost 2600. But that was just the rumor mill downtown, don't know if any of that was actually true.
