Default tight, or bad cards ?

For the past 2 weeks of 3/6 I'm seeing about 15-17% of the flops. That's playing most suited connectors, obvious big cards, almost all pocket pairs depending on position, and then weaker cards in the later positions if I can steal or see a big multiway.

Am I still seeing too few hands ? Or is this a bad run of cards ?

Is that 15--17% your VPIP or does it include the blinds? Is this over 100 hands or 10000? Do you use PokerTracker?

I think jason's avatar is giving me epileptic seizures, if i view it at work could i get workman's comp? But in all seriousness these numbers seem ok. Make sure youre aggressive in late position with a larger range of hands, and do some reading up on blind defense if you really wanna get that vpip up as that opened my eyes to alot of new playable hands.

I'm stealing with anything from AX to two paint cards, to connectors, to pocket pairs.

I'm defending 1/3 of the time usually, and often with hands as week as 108s

I hear ya. Although knowing I play rather tight, the games can become quite a pain at times. Have you taken a look at your table selection? I noticed that seeing flops >20% would absolutely be -EV at the times I play on Party.

I'm around 13-14% VP$IP and there are no more playable hands I can identify when the tables get too tight- aggro and you can spot only a couple of suckers who've already folded...

Then again, I mostly have to play at worse times than you probably do. Still review the table selection, maybe that's part of the problem.
