Re: question about ak under the gun
You should play it pretty much like that.
You could always bet a little less on the flop. 75% of the pot usually has the same effect as 100%, just make sure you arent telegraphing your hand by only betting 75% when you miss. AK is tough to play out of position, now you know why. |

Re: question about ak under the gun
He's in position here. Bet a little less on the flop, but other than that it looks good.

Re: question about ak under the gun
He was in position, only the big blind called pre flop. I play the multis on Party often, and they are very tough to read, especially the low buy in ones. I think you played it well, it was very possibly they he came into the hand with an 8 maybe even K8 suited.

Oh, I play in Australia, UG acts first down here. You know like how the toilet goes the opposite way.

Re: question about ak under the gun
I think you did fine here. You can probably get the same results/info by betting less pf (making it 150-200). I like the continuation bet on the flop. Again, you could probably bet 400 to accomplish the same. Once he calls, you gotta give him credit for at least a pair. His large bet on the river is a little suspicious, but if you called that you'd only hope to see AQ or AJ and the likelihood of that is definitely too small to risk your stack.
