i suck at HORSE
the blinds have just gone up to 50/100 and i get dealt rolled up aces. i cap it preflop against 4xx and 2xx. i get 7s for my next two cards and both streets are capped again.. the other two guys have 445xx and 256xx showing, i figure they've got straights but obviously that's no match for my boat. i dont remember my cards on the next two streets but the first opponent folds and i get all my money in against the one remaining fool who has 2567xxx. we go to showdown, i show my aces full, my opponent shows 7,6,5,2,A... and it is at this point i realize we are on razz.

Re: i suck at HORSE
That would be funny if it was true.

Re: i suck at HORSE
it's possible people miss round changes - - he's a baldfaced liar in this case, but it's possible
I spoke to Andy Bloch about 4 weeks ago about when they were gonna make the HORSE tourneys standard at Full Tilt - he said there was a little issue with the round changes - people missed them easy - he missed a couple himself, and I can tell you you gotta be watching that screen the whole time - just to be safe. so yah, it's possible... So how is this story BS? - it goes Razz then Stud - not Stud then Razz - the round before Razz is Omaha and you don't get rolled up A's in Omaha - ergo, he's full of crap. Re: i suck at HORSE
funny enough this actually happened at full tilt earlier tonight, it was my first HORSE tournament. 27 people played and i was the first one out. first i forgot it was omaha hi/lo and not regular omaha, so i tilted and then when the round changed i just didn't realize it was razz until it was too late.
edit: this wasn't the very first hand after the blinds went up. i should've taken a hint when i was bringing in with Kxx. must not have been sober. |
