Re: Best Poker Advice ever?
Being a good poker player is less about playing good cards than the business/self-control/self-confidence it takes to get those card skills into the long run

[ QUOTE ]
Basically, it was “shut up!” When I was really learning to play the game well... I was so excited about all the stuff I was learning that I would blab to my friends that we were playing with. So my wife told me “You really need to shut up.” lol [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like you married a smart woman! |

Re: Best Poker Advice ever?
you don't need to be the best player in the world... just the best at the table you're sitting at...

Re: Best Poker Advice ever?
Lots of good advice here. One point needs to be expanded upon though - don't abuse the fish after they river their two outer!! We've all likely done it and seen it done - its hard to hold back sometimes but having a donator or two leave the table after being bitched at can be very costly...

Don't listen to me or some of the others sometimes. Of course always remember: Liquor in the front and poker in the rear!
