Re: Quick one
The way the opponent is described, it sounds like it's impossible to move him off anything decent, even king high. We don't know exactly what Nate's image is at the time, and that's very important when discussing scenarios like this.
To me, calling the flop with the intention of semibluff raising the turn is a bad idea. Given the description of the opponent, there's little fold equity and J5 has absolutely no showdown value. As a result, you are forced to bet the river when you miss, and it's hands like these that burn chips. A relentlessly aggressive opponent who autobets is very easy to exploit. Hit the board and raise for value. There are much better times to get involved than this one. |

Re: Quick one
easy fold, u need to hot a jack to have anything, anything else is just likely to cost you more without the odds, ie improve ur current backdoors.
btw if he was the sort of player to give free card how would it then be played? |

I'm definately not folding. [/ QUOTE ] Pretty much. Folding when the pot is laying 5-1 with 7-8 outs against a LAG is throwing away money. |

Re: Quick one
I fold, With no ability to make a play at this guy or the pot, you are basically chasing. J high we have to assume you are behind, so I give you 6-7ish outs. The pot has 5SB in it. I dont care that the guy just auto bets to the river, id rather be making money on that tendancy when I have a hand worthy of calling down with, or many more outs.

Re: Quick one
We have no reason to believe we are behind. If we are behind it is more likely that we are high carded. Read says he raises 100% of the time.
