Bet for value, I don't think you need to fear a raise here. No one's going to raise when they spike a 9, and most would raise the turn if they have a K. I would imagine that you'll get one weak caller and one will fold.

Absolutely. Don't let your opponents show down their weak hands for free and value bet their other hands.

i feel i have to options when it comes to posting a response to this hand...either look for that sob story posting where i bet for what i think is "value" and get screwed by a King-flush draw backed into top pair or a hand that i finally get this stupid "bet for value" concept right!!

i'll choose the later and you wait Bodhi!! once i get this, you're gonna get a PM from me!

ps: all i hear in my head on this hand is "only better hands are calling you".

The worst players on the net routinely go to the river trying to spike a pair. I bet one of them will call down with A high.

Good luck and I look forward to your next value-bet post. I would post more myself here but I'm currently doing the Noble bonus and so I don't have recent hand histories.
