Default Party NL50 compared to NL25

Is there much skill difference in the players at all? Can I probably just safely move up if I'm beating NL25?

Practise some table selection, and there is very little difference. If you feel the NL$25 is very easy, there's no reason to not move up if you're bankrolled I think. In my experience the skill difference is smaller at 6max than full ring by the way. Don't know if others have similar/contradicting experiences?

I've been having a hard time getting my monsters paid on 50$. Maybe I need to do some things differently.

speaking for 6 max, you dont have to do much of anything differently.

50 is definitely tighter than 25. I've heard you're better off moving from 25 to 100 than to 50, just because most of the rocks stop at 50, but haven't experimented myself to be able to tell you first hand.

I agree. I went straight from 25 to 100. The 50s seem to have a lot of semi-knowledgable but not rational/experienced players, which is dangerous imo unless you're experienced yourself. I think the 100s have a better mix of players so they're easier to get a feel for.

Usually the $100 table has a few rational/intelligent players, a couple of lags, a few rocks/mice, and 1 or 2 total fish. Picking out which is which is very easy.

If you have the bankroll pick a table with a high pot avg, play normally preflop but nutpeddle post flop(sets or better, two pair on safe board, draws only with odds, never commit yourself with TPTK etc, rarely continuation bet). You'll be amazed at how well it works. As you get a feel for the 100s and more of a bankroll, you can loosen up.
